Begin Again

keys Dec 22, 2020

Greetings Transforming Greatness Tribe,

I am writing this blog as my greeting for 2021, a year to 'Begin Again.' As we all know 2020 was a year of shaking and shifting; a year like none other and a year filled with blessings and traumas. In other words some would say it was a spiritual winter season. It felt like a time of darkness, life was unfruitful, and you may have assumed your dreams were dying. A spiritual winter is a time when God kills everything in your life that will affect  the harvest of the next season in your life. Spiritual winter is the most uncomfortable time for many of us.

However, this is a season to redefine and further develop a relationship with God. God will give you new directions for planting new crops in the spring, which is your next season. Spiritual winter is the time for evaluation, planning, and preparation. It is also a time of letting go of things that can harm your call and a time of learning the uniqueness of your call.

You may feel as if your spiritual winter is a “ wilderness” experience—as if God is not hearing your prayers or speaking to you. I believe that wilderness experience is where you finally meet God. At this time God will begin to enlighten the eyes of your understanding (Eph.1:18).

When I think of 'Begin Again,’ I also hear three words: renew, regenerate, and recalibrate. Renew is to make full or complete by supplying what has been used up. Regenerate is to give new life to or to restore to a healthy condition. Recalibrate is to standardize or to bring into conformity with the standards needed for a particular function.

To 'Begin Again,' you may need to implement one or all three of the Re's. Do you need to renew your hope so that you can have faith? Do you need to regenerate your faith to faithfulness? Do you need to recalibrate your walk with God to His original design?

Whatever it is you have to do to 'Begin Again,’  We are praying and declaring through the function of Yeshua:

"Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? I encourage you to surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship. Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes."
